In 2002 I re-built the Printmakers Association of Western Australia’s website given the original site had ‘gone down’ and the Association at the time was in transition to new management.

In a series of vibrant discussions, the agreement we drew up coincided with the appointment of a new Association President, Mr. Harry Hummerston who was at the time a Senior Lecturer in printmaking at Curtin University in Perth, Western Australia. With Harry’s steady mentorship the website assisted in the reinstatement of solid funding from philanthropic sources and a series of studio workshops and exhibitions we showcased through the website which was accessed by other Associations around the world.

In a ‘Perth’s first’ the inaugural ‘Printonline’ exhibition which I championed and chaired was a great success with over 50 ‘Artists’ exhibiting the very first of ink-jet printing in a contentious exchange between ‘Artists’ and ‘non-Artists’, an installation in which relational aesthetics and the role of the audience were explored, inspired by the art critic works of Nicolas Bourriaud and the artworks of Victoria Vesna.

The website was superseded two years later with a large CMS which this site built in Dreamweaver (HTML) had attempted to replicate. I ‘cut-my-teeth’ so to speak on the role and learnt a lot about project management agreements and working with a large association with far too many Chiefs. I also established a growing client base using a ‘new’ CMS platform called Wordpress soon after and this changed the whole landscape for collaborative web development.
