In July 2010 I was contacted by Donna Hensley who was charged with managing the Australia Africa Foundation  program (AAF) , conducted by the Australian Government seeking to provide African managers and practitioners with access to Australian-standard educational, training or professional development opportunities which better equip them to develop and apply sound policy and practice in their field of expertise. At the same time, the AAF Program offered Australian organisations, in priority sectors, the opportunity to deepen and broaden their links with leaders and professionals in eligible countries.
